Tarot Reading

I was going to go out tonight, but decided against it. Making the decision to stay home instead of painting the town red made me question if it was the right move. It's funny to see that indecision pop up on my tarot reading. Tarot cards make me panic ... I always get downer cards like the Hanged Man or the Devil. Today, I got this:
Love: The Star
Touchstone: The Lovers
Career: The Judgement
A crisis on the romantic front cannot be totally excluded today, dear. It could be that you have to make a choice between two partners, two different ways of spending the evening, or two different invitations. This, at least is what the Lovers and the Star suggest… and they’re not making it easy for you! To make matters worse, things are a little tense today, misunderstandings abound, and your own doubts are making everyone around you feel uncomfortable too. At work, exciting new developments are in store! Events are building up thick and fast: you need to make choices and take decisions but you’re standing open-mouthed, unable to utter a single authoritative statement. This inability to act is a result of the combined influence of Judgment and the Lovers – but it could cause you to miss a great opportunity. Get moving! - No kidding!

One Year Survival Rate

I moved to Moncton one year ago today. It's colder than last year, and starting to snow. I vowed I would never come back. But here I am. According to the Chinese Zodiac 2010 is the year of the Tiger (I know some Tiger's), and 2011 will be the year of the Rabbit; which will be bring good luck!

The Year of the Rabbit, begins on February 3, 2011 and ends on January 22, 2012. The Rabbit is the fourth sign of the Chinese Zodiac, which consists of 12 animals signs. The Rabbit is a lucky sign. Rabbits are private individuals and a bit introverted. People born in the Year of the Rabbit are reasonably friendly individuals who enjoy the company of a group of good friends. They are good teachers, counselors and communicators, but also need their own space.

I not a Rabbit, but a Pig ... still ... I will take some luck, please :)

In Macbeth Act 3 Scene 2 ...

... it is stated, "Things without remedy, should be without regard; what is done is done,"

That Time of Year Again

I moved back to Moncton the day before Halloween last year. Looking back, I can't believe what singularly bad shape I was in. It was an absolutely horrific time in so many ways that, for me, there are no words to describe just how rock bottom it all was. Funnily enough, I remember thinking that I had the wherewithall to go out for Halloween (I was going to dress up as Amy Winehouse) and knock 'em dead with my costume. What the hell? As it turned out, it was all could do to order a hamburger at A&W, buy a bottle of wine, and sit in the corner of my furnitureless apartment and cry. Last October, I was sure I would die. I felt that it was impossible to turn it all around. It wasn't impossible. I am turning it around. This October, things are different, and for that, I am eternally grateful to the powers that be. God Bless all who struggle.
